Push Up Challenge

pushups. PushUps. PUSHUPS.  They are one of the fundamental body weight movements that we do in Crossfit!  They are a movement that you can ALWAYS improve on - whether its the skill itself or just getting stronger so that you can go faster!!

Starting at the same time as the Nutrition Challenge, we will start a PUSH UP Challenge!  Here is how it will work:

Buy In:  $10 - must be paid through iPad under Challenges (remember that your account will not be charged until October for all September purchases, including challenges).  Please sign up here:

Challenge:  30 for 33 days or 50 for 33 days.  You chose based on your level.  If push ups are something that you struggle with, then chose to do 30/day to get better.  If you do not struggle with push ups, chose 50/day to get better/faster.  

Rules:  Must complete the 30/50 with the day - they DO NOT have to be unbroken.  PushUps in the WOD do count.  BUT they do have to have the standerds of the pushup!!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS.

Standerds:
- start in the plank position 
- CHEST must touch the ground first...not ribcage, belly or hips! (remember, we are trying to get BETTER! Dont cheat yourself)
- Chest & Hips must come off the ground at the same time & arms must be locked out back in the plank position (no yoga pushups where just your chest moves up & down...sorry yogis!) 
- For those who cannot do RX, you are allowed to kip up (going to your knees & pushing up).  The goal is that by the end of the challenge, you are kipping less if at all!!!

Everyones name will be on a white board in the box so that we can all keep eachother accountable!  If you do not complete your 30/50 in a day, you will need to email me as well as mark a line through your name so that we know who all is still in the challenge.

We will redistribute the money back to the winners who stay in it!!
