Nutritional Challenge

Where to begin...well I can honestly say Im happy to say I made it through without cheating.  Albeit, that is not to say I was not faced with a lot of temptation and little voices in my head screaming, "Come on!  Do it, one sub from Jimmy Johns or vanilla latte from Starbucks wont hurt you!"  The first week of the challenge was the most difficult.  Hunger pains, yearning for something non-paleo, and thinking 30 days will take forever.  Heading into the second and third week I found my stride.  Eating a paleo strict diet came much easier.  I introduced myself to new foods, recipes, and enjoyed cooking new meals.  By the time the last week rolled around I started thinking about my first ‘cheat’ meal.  I woke up the day after the challenge ended and thought what a waste it would be to throw away the hard work accomplished over the past 30 days.  I brought myself to enjoy some vodka/sodas for the Super Bowl…and low and behold, just as I was told would happen I felt like crap the entire next day.  Hence the constant trips to the bathroom!  Overall, I feel better and my body feels more ‘clean’ than it has in a long time.  As for my WOD’s, my body doesn’t hate me as much the next day as it did pre-challenge. I have made the decision to follow the 90/10 rule and challenge myself to a continual 30 day personal challenge.  Shout out to my coach, Gail for keeping me strict and making us feel like $hiT if we cheated.  xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /
